LIFESTYLE MEDIA

As a digital native or Gen Z, I have grown up with ample experience in technology, especially social media. In a way, I have been marketing myself as a brand my whole life. As an individual, I value balance within my life and believe that you can change the outlook on your life by the way you think. This drives my brand on Instagram as I am a huge proponent of balance between social life, work, and health. I want to expand my brand on Instagram and to do so, I completed a competitive analysis and utilized features on Meta to drive engagement.

Information about how my direct competitor and I differ in engagement analytics was also present. Overall public engagement average is sizeable because the influencer is consistent with posts and has attracted a strong following. There is much less of difference for public engagements per post, as we both know our audience and make quality content. To increase engagements per post, I plan to find perfect timing for my post that are easily sharable with others.

Lifestyle influencers that use Instagram as their main media source are my direct competitors. To gather sufficient information to substantiate this fact, I used Sprout Social to collect the data. Overall, I was given a performance summary of my account that included impressions, engagements, post-link clicks, and engagement rate. My impressions have grown by 27%, which has most likely grown because of more frequent posts. However, the engagement rate has declined by 65.5% and can be increased by hashtags, interactive features, and engaging with followers.
