The LRS Ice Rink was an experience managed by a class of entrepreneurial students, all whom brought the holiday spirit to the community. I was lucky enough to be a member of the Customer Experience team, in which I answered inquiries by Instagram, Facebook, and email. This is when I was first exposed and developed an interest in digital marketing. While I was logged into our Meta business account, I found myself looking through the backend analytics for the account, brainstorming on how we could increase our engagement.
Even though I was not a part of the marketing team, this entrepreneur class and project gave me an immense amount of insight into the managerial and operational intricacies of opening a business. Working with like-minded students also made this a remarkable experience. Our instructor was on paternity leave for a majority of hands-on work while setting up and operating the ice rink, which led to improvised innovation and teamwork.
